Surgical Arts gets a new view on breast health

Breast cancer continues to be a leading cause of death in American women. Few things frighten a woman more than discovering a lump in one of her breasts. With good reason, breast cancer may transform a woman's breast into the vehicle of her death. It is twice as likely to be diagnosed in an American woman today as it was sixty years ago.

Dr. Joan Iacobelli, who received the Physician's Recognition Award (PRA) from the American Medical Association. The PRA recognizes the achievement of physicians who have voluntarily completed programs of continuing medical education. The American Medical Association awarded Dr. Iacobelli the PRA that identified her with a distinguished group of physicians who have expanded their knowledge and skills through the completion of education programs.

Sonya Bates, ART, was promoted into the administrative management position. Sonya has worked for Surgical Arts, P.C. since 1994.
